Our MetSprite ground station is mobile and can operate off-grid with fitted solar panels. This box protects MetSprite securely between profiles, maintains optimal battery temperature and allows us to operate automated profiles.
Flights are monitored at our Leeds workshop by trained remote pilots.

Data is available within seconds of a flight finishing, in NetCDF or BUFR format for assimilation into forecast models. Our customizable web dashboard provides a real-time overview of the node.

MetSprite has been developed with redundancy of critical systems : power, computation, and telemetry. It comes with an independent parachute recovery system and anti collision lighting visible to 3 SM for night flying operations. MetSprite’s harsh weather resistance and well documented technical specifications and operational procedures ensure it is a safe system for specific category operations.
